WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Permanent makeup is also known as permanent cosmetics, semi permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation. All are forms of cosmetic tattooing but there is a major difference between these treatments and a traditional tattoo.
Permanent makeup treatments are performed using a digital machine that implants hypoallergenic pharmaceutical grade pigments into the top layer of the skin. A traditional tattoo goes much deeper and uses tattoo ink which is unsuitable for the sensitive skin of the facial features.
Permanent makeup pigments are made from mineral and organic material and are designed to fade over time, lasting between 12-18 months after which you can top up your permanent makeup with a maintenance treatment called a colour boost to refresh colour, shape and definition.

Formerly a graphic artist for many years my passion and interests suddenly changed direction due to a breast cancer diagnosis. Faced with the possibility of losing my hair and eyebrows I started to look at permanent makeup options.
I had both my eyeliner and brows enhanced and was so pleased with the results and loved the positive feeling that my new enhancements gave to me during a very stressful and uncertain time.
What a gift to be able to help others in this way, not only can I now offer permanent makeup options to those who are in need but I can also create more confidence by enhancing natural features and giving busy people back some valuable time normally spent on regular makeup application.
I am fully certified in permanent makeup and was trained at the Highbrow Academy, Dorchester to the highest standards by two very accomplished and highly regarded artists/trainers, Kim Balaskas and Louisa Franzen.
